We match shift workers travelling to the same worksite at the same time, so they can share the ride home and split the cost. No booking, no dispatch, just a simple introduction.
What it does
A simple fix for an expensive problem
Shift workers often cannot get home affordably after late or early shifts, when public transport has stopped running. That leads to dropped shifts, no-shows, and staff turnover, all real costs to your business.
ShiftCommute solves this simply. Agencies upload a weekly shift roster. The platform finds workers heading to the same site at the same time and introduces them, so they can arrange to share a car journey and split the cost between themselves.
What we do not do
- We do not book journeys.
- We do not dispatch drivers.
- We do not handle payments.
Legal basis
Built around the UK's non-commercial carpooling exemption, with contributions capped at HMRC's mileage rate, fixed and agreed before every journey.
Current status
Currently in pre-launch pilot. Legal position under independent review.
